Assumption College Golf Team
2006-2007 was the most successful golf season ever at Assumption College. The boy’s team, consisting of Ryan Terdik, Zack Kempa, Kyle Pritchard, Kevin Cleary, and Eric Lucente captured the BCSAA boy’s golf championship for the second straight year. The team then went on to CWOSSA, where Ryan Terdik earned a Silver Medal. Ryan qualified for OFSAA and in a playoff, earned a Silver Medal. Ryan is now graduating from Assumption College and has received a golf scholarship at Concord University in West Virginia!
As for the girl’s golf team, the sole member, Nicole Vandermade, also completed her most successful season of golf here at Assumption. Nicole began the year by capturing the BCSAA girl’s golf championship for the second year in a row. At the CWOSSA girl’s golf championship, Nicole won a Gold Medal, and qualified for OFSAA. Nicole won the OFSAA golf championship in 2005, so she was returning as a former champion. At this year’s OFSAA tournament, Nicole finished third, earning herself a Bronze Medal.
Mr. Dennis wishes to thank all the players for their efforts this year, and most importantly, for the sportsmanship and dedication they illustrated all season.
