A big Lions ROAR to all of the athletes who competed at the school meet on Wednesday April 30th
Three new records were set:
Nick Brimmer – Junior Boys Shot Put
Travis Torelli – Junior Boys Javelin
Geoff Ankumah – Junior Boys 100m hurdles
Steve Domotor tied the senior boys 100m in a lightning fast time of 11.1 seconds!
The overall champions in each division were:
Midget Girls: Emily Shaw and Taylor Zinger
Midget Boys: Johannes DeKlerk
Junior Girls: Oleisha Kegels
Junior Boys: David Mazurek
Senior Girls: Hannah Williams
Senior Boys: Jerry Hill
The staff set a new record in the old timers division in the relay competition. Despite their record breaking performance, Mrs. McCool was disappointed in their 6th place finsh.
“I will definitely be ramping up the practice sessions for next year. Last place is just unacceptable. I’m sure if Mr. Campbell had been available for the race, the results would have been different!”
The top 3 finishers in each event have qualified for BCSSAA being held here at ACS on May 13th and 14th.
