Mind Buster Challenge
The Mind Buster Weekly Challenge", a weekly problem of the week that all students in the school can participate. There will be weekly prizes, and a grand prize at the end of the 
year. The puzzles posted should usually be approachable for all students, and should not require any specific skills (like factoring) from their math classes. The purpose of the problem of the week is to help students have an opportunity to do problem solving, and to recognize that math is the study of patterns. Mathematics is a way of thinking, of approaching problems, and working through them in a systematic way, by looking for meaning and patterns in the problem. The goal of numeracy is to build greater confidence for our students in mathematics which they have learned in school and applied to everyday life.
